Bayshore Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10k: May 27, 2023

The Bayshore Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 10k race is a Memorial Weekend staple in Traverse City. It takes place the Saturday morning of Memorial Day Weekend and the course runs along the scenic Grand Traverse Bay and is regarded as a "must run" for runners in the Midwest. Michigan Beer & Brat Festival: May 27, 2023

The 16th annual Michigan Beer & Brat Festival is being held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, MI. A short 40 minute drive from our campground and you can sample microbrews, meads, hard cider, wine, liquor and gourmet brats all made in Michigan while listening to live entertainment. Leland Wine & Food Festival: June 10, 2023

Leland (aka Fishtown) is a short 20 minute drive from Leelanau Pines Campground. Every year, Leland hosts it's annual Wine & Food Festival. Here you can sip on your local favorite wineries, taste food from northern Michigan restuarants all with a stunning view of Lake Michigan in the background. Summer Artisan Art & Wine Walk: June 16, 2023

We all look forward to warm summer days in northern Michigan. Sutton Bay kicks off summer each year with their annual Summer Artisan Art & Wine Walk. This year it will be held on Friday, June 16th from 5PM - 9PM. Stroll the streets of Suttons Bay admiring work by award-winning local artists, pop in some stores to see what you can find, and of course sample some of Leelanau counties finest wine. The Northwestern Michigan Fair was first pulled together in 1908. It has a rich history of promoting "Michigan agriculture, horticulture, education, mechanical arts, fine arts, fruit and grain products, stock raising and dairy products, domestic science and kindred interests throughout the Grand Traverse Region".
